Past Work

One of the things I love about what I do is that every job is a unique adventure and an opportunity to learn and create. Here are some of my favorite projects from the recent past.

The Rotters

I got to live out my childhood dreams of working on a Roald Dahl-esque project with this website! The illustrations were full of so much life that I was inspired to add a lot of details to make the site fun for the younger visitors, such as an interactive navigation, lots of entrance animations, and of course those dastardly Rotters creeping around on each page!

A.K. Mulford

This epic fantasy author wanted a complete redesign of their website, including a new logo, new branding, and a complete reorganization of her site content. It was my delight to put this all together and create her something that matches the caliber of her books!

Cultural Connections by Design

One of my longest-standing clients, this website is near-and-dear to my heart. Not only is the company’s mission meaningful, but this client encourages and revels in the creativity I try to bring to my work, and keeps the project interesting by continuously brainstorming new ways to connect with her clients via the website. I’ve been tasked with making online games and other fun projects- this client always has something new up her sleeve!

The Biggest Number

Designing author sites is always a blast, but children’s books sites are a special kind of joy. This project in particular was so fun, as I got to be creative in the design of every page on the site. I was also commissioned to make a quiz-based trivia game for the site visitors.

The AEO15

This project was a unique one: designing the website and assessment functionality for a career personality test. When purchased, the site creates a unique license code which allows the user to take the assessment once. Responses are stored in the database for later access. Along with designing the site and creating the custom software, I also created the business branding in the form of a logo, colors, and fonts.

Tender Folk Co.

This artist wanted to showcase her work with a minimalist website so that her art was the focus of the design. Simple and clean, this design got right to the point.

Project Highlights

Merit Lending

The Merit Lending business website needed a facelift! This design is modern but still approachable and showcases the Loan Officers right on the homepage, which was important to the client. Visitors can also apply to Pre-Qualify right on the site, and the staff accesses the sensitive information through a secure login portal.

Project Highlights

The Super Bunny Club

This client not only wanted to promote her book, but she hoped to create an online community for other bunny owners and lovers. For this reason, not only was the site styled after her book, but it included a forum, blog section for highlighting other bunny owners, and a “Super Bunny Pledge” with an auto-generated membership card.

Project Highlights

Aegis Archive

This was a really unique and fun project! This author site was commissioned to be a “police archive” and the website was designed to pull the readers into the world of the novel. It was a great opportunity to be creative and incorporate all kinds of elements that most other sites typically wouldn’t call for. Best of all, the client requested that we incorporate Easter eggs for his visitors to find, which was such a blast to put together!

Project Highlights

InsulinWorx

Having had a bad experience with a previous developer, this client at first was insistent on using a pre-made template and only hired me to create the custom functionality of the site: namely its Dosing Chart Generator. This custom software takes in input from a medical professional and outputs a report they can use with their patients. After completing this portion of the project, the client also asked me to update their logo and branding, add a user login system, and edit the template to be more user friendly and inviting.
